Enough Talk Over Lucky Jim In Round Two
Enough Talk turned the tables on Lucky
Jim with a well-rated victory in round two of the Su Mac Lad
Series on Friday night at Meadowlands Racetrack.

Enough Talk and Ron Pierce coasted through
fractions of :28.3, :57.4 and 1:26 before sprinting home in
:26.4, toward a final 1:52.4 clocking. Lucky Jim (Andy Miller)
sat a garden trip behind Enough Talk but could not leave the
pylons until first up challenger Arch Madness (Trond Smedshammer)
faded late in the mile. Lucky Jim made a final surge but fell a
neck short at the wire, ending his Meadowlands winning streak at
16 races. Arch Madness held on for third.
Enough Talk received the slight nod over Lucky Jim in the
betting and paid $3.80 to win the $50,000 tenth race feature.
The 2008 Older Trotter of the Year boosted his career totals to
29 wins in 73 starts and over $1.2 million in earnings. Trainer
Peter Kleinhans shares ownership of the seven-year-old Enjoy
Lavec-Fashion Setter gelding with Jerry Silva.
Preliminary round winners Enough Talk and Lucky Jim will
tangle again in the $125,000 Su Mac Lad Final next Friday, April
16.
