Master Of Law gave a masterful performance as he trotted to a decisive, 1:52.1 clocking in the $101,350 American-National Open Trot.

David Miller steered the 5-year-old son of Deweycheatumnhowe, who was harnessed by Jimmy Takter for Lindy Racing Stable, Brittany Farms, Adam Victor & Sons and Christina Takter.

Master Of Law left with command from post 2, taking the field of four through steady fractions of :28, :55.3 and 1:24.2 before striding home to prevail by a length over E L Titan (Tim Tetrick). DW’s NY Yank (Yannick Gingras) nailed down show honors, while Southwind Pepino (Sandy Beatty) finished fourth.

Carded as an early non-wagering event, the winner’s share of the American National pushed Master Of Law’s career bankroll to $521,391. The brown gelding now has 14 victories in 46 lifetime trips postward.
