Opalen trea i Paris

Prix de l'Union Europeenne har avgjorts. Det blev fransk seger genom �tta�ringen Meaulnes du Corta medan Opal Viking blev b�ste svensk med en tredjeplats.

Meaulnes du Corta kunde �verta ledningen utan n�gon st�rre strid efter ungef�r en tredjedel k�rt av det 3.000 meter l�nga loppet. Sedan drog Pierre Levesque i ganska j�mnt tempo och in p� upploppet kunde man h�lla undan s�kert f�re den i rygg travande Kito du Vivier. Segertiden blev 1.13,4/3.000 meter och segern i Prix de l'Union Europeenne var v�rd 80.000 euro.

Det fanns fyra h�star med svenskintresse i loppet. S�v�l Super Light som Opal Viking serverades fina l�pningar i mestadels andra respektive tredje ytter och de kunde ocks� v�nta med attackerna till den sista kurvan. Nils Enqvists Prix d'Am�rique-tv�a avslutade b�st av den duon och utan att pl�gas n�mnv�rt av Jorma Kontio avslutade Opalen starkt till tredjeplatsen p� 1.13,5. F�r besv�ret fick Opal Viking 20.800 euro medan Super Light fick n�ja med sig femteplatsen (1.13,7) och 4.800 euro.

Marcus �hmans Hot Tub fick en tung l�pning signerad St�phane Delasalle och f�r fullt godk�nt som sjua medan Zoccer Wadd gjorde bort sig med galopp.
